Update

Marissa is still in the hospital. Her liver function and kidney function showed signs of leveling off which is good news. Her electrolyte level is close to being in balance as well. She is still suffering from edema (fluid retention in her abdomen and legs) which is causing discomfort, and a significant amount of pain in her back and hips that they are still trying to figure out how to get under control in a way that we can administer at home. The pain is really the only thing keeping her in the hospital at this point, and I think we are close to getting it dialed in. The target date for her to get back home is Tuesday.

Thank you for all of your continued thoughts, well wishes and prayers. Thanks to all who have called her or visited her while she has been in the hospital. And thank you to all of our family and friends who have either offered or been able to give us their generous support. This means a lot to us, and we want to let you know how grateful we are.

I will let you know when she is back home again.
